PAUL DE GROOT & LOIC ISLIKER
In 2020 during the covid pandemic these two Dutch guys decided to start their own Youtube Channel Hidden Faces. As the name suggest they take the viewer with them on their steep, narrow and quite spectacular adventures.
Loic Isliker & Paul de Groot are well known freeride skiers from the Benelux and both won several Dutch Freeride Championships in the last few years. These two professionals have gained some great experience in the mountains and are always hungry to find some 'Hidden Faces'.
What's special about this YouTube series is that they ski- and film all of these footage by themselves. That means multi-tasking to the max on steep slopes where a small failure can have big consequences. After the skiing of these Hidden Faces Loic is the one who's editing it all towards a good looking episode while Paul de Groot is taking more responsibility for the storyline behind it.

YouTube episodes
The last few winters they produced already 23 episodes including some movies like 'Teeth' and 'Pogo'.
In this coming winter we will show you some of these episodes and share some background information about these faces and the story behind it.
Besides good looking skiing they also share their thoughts about the snow conditions and whether it's safe to go or not. In the newest episodes and movies they will also meet some other athletes and locals as well. In this case the name 'Hidden Faces' gets another perspective which could be quite interesting as well!

This Couloir is one that we actually wanted to ski from the beginning of the season. Surely one that is not obvious, a real hidden gem. This descent is located between Les Marécottes and Les Portes du Soleil, it is actually a kind of eastern flank of the famous mountain massif Les Dents du Midi. After a first failed attempt and a very long-lasting avalanche danger, the mission was a bigger challenge than expected...
