Today was so ridiculously awesome. Probably the deepest snow I have ever skied!

Looking for the goods... Which is actually very easy, as the snow is piling up everywhere in Niseko United.

Is it a plane? Is it a bird? No it is Dutch freeskier Tijn Vuijk!

Tijn Vuijk and Paul de Groot hiking up to the summit of Annupuri, a prominent volcano in the Niseko United ski area, which gives access to unlimited powderruns back to the valley.

Night skiing is yet another activity that makes Hokkaido such a special and exotic ski destination. Last night I had a great session of skiing in the twilight with Dutch freeskiers Tijn Vuijk, Paul de Groot and Philippe Mullens in Niseko United.

Another awesome day out in the beautiful mountains of Hokkaido comes to an end. Now for a relaxing bath in the hot springs, a sake and some exquisite sushi, and after a good night sleep we will do it all over again.

The next stop on our Hokkaido roadtrip is Kiroro. This resort is a real hidden gem and especially because their very pro active approach to offering huge backcountry terrain for experienced and right-thinking freeriders in search for powder. The weather was on the windy side today but it was still nicer than 99% of the best days in the Alps
